Hello from coastal Maine! I have just been given two letters written by an ancestor (Benjamin Franklin Field) who last wrote from your city 1883. He was born abt. 1834, never married. We wonder what happened to him after 1883. Does anyone have access to census records or death records there? Quite sure he was not a property owner. Would so appreciate any information. Many thanks!
